We're starting something new. After months of building WindowSill, fixing bugs at 2 AM, and reading every piece of feedback you've sent us, we realized something was missing: a place to talk about what we're building and why.
So here it is. The WindowSill blog.
What you'll find here
We're planning to write about a few things:
Feature updates when we ship something new. Not just "we added a button," but the thinking behind it, what problem it solves, and how to get the most out of it.
Use cases and workflows for people who want to squeeze more out of their setup. Clipboard tricks, AI writing patterns, extension combos that save real time.
AI writing tips that go beyond the basics. We build an AI writing assistant, so we think about this stuff constantly. We'll share what we've learned.
Productivity advice for Windows users. There's a lot of untapped potential in how people use their machines. We want to help with that.
Behind the scenes looks at the engineering and design decisions that shape WindowSill. How we pick features, how we handle trade-offs, and what we got wrong along the way.
Why a blog?
Changelogs are great for tracking what changed. But they don't tell you why it changed, or how to think about it. A blog gives us room to explain our reasoning, share context, and write about topics that don't fit neatly into a release note.
It's also a way for us to give back. The Windows productivity community has been incredibly supportive, and we want to contribute to the conversation, not just ship features.
